The scientists had the first group of women drink 140gr. yogurt with 3gr. of cumin powder every day, while the second group was drinking just yogurt without the cumin.

When the three months were over the results were quite astonishing. The first group of women had lost an average of 14 pounds more than the second group that didn’t consume cumin. What’s even more incredible, the women who eat yogurt and cumin reduced the fat levels by 14.64% while the other group by just 4.91%.

How is this possible and why does cumin has such a powerful effect on weight loss? Cumin is rich in filosterole, a plant chemical which is known to stop the cholesterol formation in our body. Scientists claim that this is what actually accelerates our metabolism.
